IndexMaster products

Rotary indexing tables for industrial automation.

A rotary indexing table positions parts or fixtures between workstations in a defined cycle. The MI Series is a starting point to relate positions, inertia, time, load and disc/top-plate diameter before final Engineering definition.

Direct answer

How do you choose an indexing table for your process?

Start with cycle data, not table size. Number of positions, inertia, indexing time, total weight, disc/top-plate diameter and machine integration define an initial pre-selection.

Frequently asked questions

What should be assessed before specifying an indexing table?

What is a rotary indexing table?

It is equipment that moves parts or fixtures to defined work positions within a process sequence. Selection depends on real application conditions.

What is the difference between fixed and CNC indexing tables?

The MI line serves cycles with defined positions. MI-CN is a configuration based on the corresponding MI table and requires Engineering analysis of programming, control and drive.

Does the calculator define the final table?

No. It organizes a pre-selection from the entered data. Final definition depends on validating the application, machine, transmission, motor and other requirements.

MI Series pre-selection

Start with process data.

The calculator uses the MI Series Engineering matrix as an initial reference. For CNC, control and drive are defined in technical analysis.

Calculator

The right choice appears when cycle time enters the calculation.

Enter the turntable, total load at the common radius, number of positions and maximum time. For a round shape, enter the diameter; for a square/rectangular shape, enter height and width. The pre-selection matches inertia and the diagonal envelope against the official Engineering matrix and MI Series recommended maximum diameter.

Indicative result. For a square/rectangular shape, the corner-to-corner diagonal must also meet the table's recommended maximum diameter. Process torque, friction, external forces, a different mass distribution and safety margin require Engineering validation.
